these most attractive cushions were made by marlene n for her sister, wendy. the 'w' is cross stitched on some linen, but the cushions are made by our expert maker upper!!!! beautiful linen teatowels and braid were used to complete the finished look, which is very gorgeous.

thanks to everyone who made the last day in my 'broderie' retail shop such a happy one. gail bett and all the saturday stitching girls, who have been together for years, were with me at the end. we have had lots of fun over the years and good friendships have been made. i will just share with you some of the photos taken yesterday.
they were all very busy, sewing, talking, talking and sewing and solving the problems of the world!
thanks to so many of you who have been in touch to wish me luck. the shop 'broderie' will cease to exist, but i will still keep the blog and play with that a little more than i do now. i will give you 'little looks' into what i am doing, for those of you who are interested!
i will not just slip under the doona and stay there!
each letter of the alphabet could give you a reason why i have made up my mind to close my shop.
however i will you spare you that list and just let you know that the 'broderie' will cease trading at closing time, 4pm next saturday, april 19th, 2008. the time is right for me!
