sharing some stitching texture today in this post, i'm so fortunate that i see so many lovely examples
stitched in one of mrs sew & so's classes and made up into a bag, love this design
and look at the texture
sherene has been stitching on silk, one of her favourite fabrics
and these birds are on a cushion
next month will bring another margaret sampson george workshop and wendy has progressed alot with her 'fly away with me', loving the colours and the fabric choices and of course the texture of these blocks
and perfect applique
my mind is still remembering some of the amazing quilts at the exhibition
i loved this one of moira's and i can tell you that it was 11 weeks ago to the day that the exhibition closed and was over ! still nursing the wretched leg injured putting out the wheelie bin, but a very slow improvement is taking place to just one spot, patience ! i went to the supermarket today, the first visit in 8 weeks and was needing a rest when i got home !
since i've been able to 'dangle' my leg a bit more, i have taken to the sewing machine and made up some of these hexagon bags that have been waiting for a finish, some for a couple of years
this one has a little interest in the bottom and the recipient, jenny, knew all about it !
and a couple of others stitched while 'leg elevating' and now made up and these couple that have been waiting so long to become a useful item, rather than languishing in a plastic bag at the bottom of a basket ! i'm sure some of you know what i mean !
and don't forget to look at the patterns available for sale in the 'broderie' shop here are just a few of them
check out what's in the 'broderie etsy shop'
until next time ..........................
