just listed in my etsy store, the link is in the side bar, are four patterns from Mrs Sew ans So.
these are a modern look and use for crewel embroidery stitches combining colour and style that is much loved by those of us who are able to stitch with Gail Bett on a regular basis over the years. so please take a look, lots of fun to do experimenting with with the wonderful colour of threads and textures of fabric and stitches.
this one is a favourite of mine, love the mix of colours that could be used and it is a modern twist on embroidery design from years ago, hence its name 'thirties'
this one is called 'flora' and has wonderful texture in the stitches, i showed some close ups in my last post, you can change the colours to suit your own taste of course and it is encouraged to experiment
'two birds and the nest',simple techniques and stitches combine to give great texture in this design
and 'red bird' has been a popular design for a while now, lots of different stitches to try and you can also use lots of different threads to give a varied look and create interest
check out my etsy store, order one or some, these designs by Gail Bett, Mrs Sew and So are fun to do
some more finishes from some of the girls, this cushion from marion
marion added her own couple of bits to make this a little quirky, the 'early bird has got the worm' and the other is singing very happily, a bit like the local magpies round here, they have been in full song, beautiful to hear !
suzanne also chose birds for her clutch sewing bag, stitched on a linen teatowel, oh we love a good linen teatowel as a blank canvas for our embroidery
remember you don't always have to have a piece of new linen from a roll, look for lovely linen teatowels, plain or striped, serviettes, linen or damask, old table cloths that you are happy to cut or just use. everything old can be new again !
all these patterns sell for $30.00(aud) and can be posted easily to anywhere in the world, they are pattern only, but if you would like some threads put together for the project, then please just contact me
the stitch guide is good and the directory of where to use the stitches is very comprehensive
and from this barn about an hour from melbourne, australia comes the creativity of Gail and her many students of all ages, from her young grand daughters to her old friends, many now in their in their early nineties and everywhere in between !
