years end !

christmas has been and gone and now we have come to the end of another year ! 

i always love the quietness and peace of the days after, it just seems the world, or the bit of it that i live in slows and the days are good, i hope it has been that way for you if that is what you also choose

as you know, changing house is one of the things that i have to do, so i decided to put together my nine houses that i handpieced ages ago, they sort of fell at my feet demanding my attention ! they are my fun version of trish harper's 'the humble house' pattern available on the side bar !

 

pity one on the estate was not empty, i could move in and live happily ever after !

i always love to start a new project too at this time of the year, so this is my first whirligig 

good wishes to all who read these pages, thanks for your feedback and it gives me a happy feeling that so many enjoy the pictures i show you and the musings, thanks for your comments and to june (if you are reading this) can you check your email because when i try to message you back the email comes bouncing back to me !

ready for christmas

the greeting on my front door and i am wishing everyone just that

let's hope that it is peaceful and calm and safe, take care !

i am just going to share with you some visions of christmas that i have snapped over the last few weeks

these are just in this house that i have called home for the last 6 years

i have enjoyed this and up to day 22 of course today !

friends have gathered 

kris kringle ! and what do you think was in this box, some people and you know who you are deidre !!! are very lucky ! but they went to the right person who will treasure and admire all the work of the very creative denise ! i offered to swap all sorts, but to no avail !

then earlier in the year i did a post 'snippets from the shoebox' at trish's home and i went back to take some 'christmas snippets' ! the shoebox is full of christmas to share with the family and friends

the entire space, though only small, is where trish creates her work that is loved by

so many, no need for words, hope you enjoyed the pictures

back to reality

as the last boat passed by and the big cruise liner left, i too had to pack my bags and head back to reality

but is life just a bowl of cherries i pondered ?

so much to do in the next little while, but it was december and christmas is coming fast, so get this house looking that way ! the last christmas i will spend here ! sadly !

there was a green tree in the garden in hobart, then suddenly one day i noticed these were little pears !

and this lovely foxglove just smiled at me one day !

our last saturday stitching day for the year

and handpiecing and quilting for this friend (over achiever) is the latest craze, been an excellent stitcher of much handwork over the years, but always used the machine for her patchwork, a new addiction !

and this hst top making great progress too belongs to another friend who is hand piecing for the first time ! i think they are both having fun and really enjoying the process

and santa in this house is off with the birds at the moment !
