i suddenly realised that it was half way through february, the move to the new house has taken place, i'm still unpacking boxes and sorting out my life here, but it is starting to look like home. there was a few days like this
my cousins from hobart came with the old red ute on the boat to help me and along with other friends we moved many bits before the big van came to take all the big furniture. well i dont have to explain that it is an enormous task, specially for me with my poor old legs. thanks to everyone for the enormous amount of help that came my way !
rooms emptied and suddenly it was not home anymore, though many happy hours had been spent here
then after the move friends called with flowers and special treats to make the days easier and i was making little corners of interest in no time
beds made and books unpacked and shelves filled and cupboards organised and where are some of my clothes, and where is my little bag and needles and threads, why is it that although the boxes are all carefully marked, some just seem to hide !
we had our first sewing saturday today here in the new space and marion was very happy with her new bag ! beautiful crewel work and a great make up by the ' very clever make up angel '. one side .............
and the other ! good model marion !
and this little dogger ! a little cross kit from DMC left from the shop days that gloria has recently stitched and now is a cute little cushion !
once some more boxes are empty and things here are a bit tidier and hopefully some cooler weather treats us, there will be more to show you of some stitching that has been done. thanks to all those who have been in touch with me and offered the great support over the last few weeks, it has been appreciated and i just could not have achieved it left on my own.
more soon ......................................................
